Interactive Session First Lady of Cross River State Dr. Linda Ayade

Under the Women’s Voice and Leadership Nigeria Project, the wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Her Excellency, Dr. Linda Ayade, gave a charge during an interactive session with female leaders in cross river state on the topic: “How are leaders turning Cross River State into a generation where equality is the norm? ”. The event which was held on the 28th of February, 2020, at her office, was  in preparation for the International Women’s Day which comes up annually in March. Dr. Linda’s speech dwelled on the roles women have to play in nation building, and admonished women not to be cowed into giving up their rights in the face of challenges. Other speakers who were women in government, private sector and civil societies, talked about the International Women’s Day and collective efforts to address the theme set for the day.
